SPARTAN ELITE BASKETBALL CLUB
Spartans Elite Basketball Club is more than a travel basketball program—it’s a community. Founded in 2016 by La Cañada High School alumnus and 2011 CIF Champion Mason Holle, SEBC was built with a simple but powerful vision: create an exciting, high-level basketball experience that prepares young athletes for the next level while keeping community values at its core.
Today, under the leadership of LC Basketball Associate Head Coach R.T. Van Valer, that vision continues to thrive. Our mission is to help players grow into confident, skilled competitors by teaching the fundamentals the right way—while also instilling lifelong values like discipline, perseverance, respect, teamwork, and hard work.

At SEBC, basketball is fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented. We believe every athlete who commits to our program deserves intentional coaching and meaningful development. Our practices and training sessions focus on skill-building—shooting, dribbling, passing, and game IQ—while also emphasizing communication, movement, and collaboration. Players learn that success comes from trusting one another, playing unselfishly, and working together toward a common goal. Just as importantly, our athletes grow off the court. Through competition and teamwork, they develop confidence, accountability, leadership, and resilience—qualities that extend far beyond basketball. We are committed to running an organized, transparent program that puts players and families first, and to creating a positive, high-energy environment where athletes can compete, improve, and love the game.
